There is one word I cannot read in a baptism entry:

In the entry for Joseph Miguel, mulato esclabo:
What is the first word in line 8, just before “de Petra…”?
I need to know for sure if it identifies Petra as the mother of Jose Miguel. If so, I can try to follow her line.

"Hijo espureo"
Or "espurio" means "illegitimate." So, yes, he is the son of Petra de Altamira Mulata Esclava and an unknown father.
